CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: A mega campus placement drive was organised at the Government Divisional Industrial Training Institute, Bhopal, in collaboration with Trident Group to provide better employment opportunities to the youth of the state. The drive was held under the guidance of Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Skill Development and Employment Department Dr Gautam Tetwal, with the support of Principal Secretary, Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Department Manish Singh, IAS, Director, Skill Development Basant Kurre, IAS, and Additional Director D. S. Thakur.

A total of 1,410 candidates, including youths from various ITIs, polytechnics, graduates, and Class 10 and Class 12 pass candidates from across the state, participated in the employment fair. Trident Group conducted interviews and skill assessments of candidates from various engineering and non-engineering trades, in which 1,203 candidates were selected at the preliminary level. The selected candidates will be provided employment opportunities after the company completes its further selection process.

Candidates from various trades, including Electrician, Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Welder, COPA, Diesel Mechanic, Motor Mechanic Vehicle, Electronics Mechanic, Wireman, Plumber, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Draughtsman (Civil), Dress Making and Sewing Technology, took part enthusiastically in the placement drive.

The department said it is continuously organising placement activities to connect youths with employment in line with industry requirements. With the participation of 1,410 candidates and the preliminary selection of 1,203 youths, the placement drive has emerged as a significant achievement in linking the state’s youth with job opportunities.
