CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News / Agencies: Panic spread in the area after a giant python weighing about 100 kilograms was found in a field in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. People working in the field spotted the massive python and immediately informed the Forest Department. Soon, a crowd of villagers gathered at the spot. People were stunned to see the giant python, and fear spread among farmers working in the fields.

After receiving the information, a Forest Department team reached the spot and launched a rescue operation to catch the python safely. Because of the python’s large size and heavy weight, controlling it proved challenging for the team. The staff had to make considerable efforts to handle it and move it to a safe place. A video of the incident has also surfaced on social media, in which the Forest Department team can be seen struggling while trying to catch the python.

According to villagers, seeing such a large python in the field created an atmosphere of fear among people in nearby areas. Residents have demanded that the Forest Department increase monitoring in the area so that such incidents can be dealt with in time. Wildlife experts say pythons generally keep away from humans and may reach fields or areas near habitation in search of food. In such situations, instead of panicking or trying to catch them, it is safer to inform the Forest Department. After the incident, the python remains a topic of discussion in the area.
