CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The 14th Madhya Pradesh State-Level Stamp Exhibition, “MAPEX 2025,” is being organized by the Indian Postal Department at Subhash Yadav Bhawan, Samnvay Bhawan, New Market, Bhopal. The exhibition promises to be both educational and entertaining for philately enthusiasts, students, and the general public. Entry will be free for all visitors.
The inauguration of the exhibition will be graced by Chief Guest Alok Sharma, Member of Parliament, Bhopal Parliamentary Constituency. The closing ceremony will see the presence of Vishwas Sarang, Minister of Cooperation, Sports, and Youth Welfare, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Vinay Mathur, Chief Postmaster General, Madhya Pradesh Postal Circle, will preside over events held on these occasions.
The main theme of the exhibition is “India’s Journey in Science and Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).” It is primarily designed to inspire India’s youth and showcase the country’s progress over the past 78 years. The exhibition will feature 325 frames from 170 stamp collectors. Through these frames, rare stamps and special covers will be displayed covering themes such as science, the Indian Army, pre-independence India, Holkar Estate, India’s space journey, the freedom struggle from 1857 to 1947, Ramayana, Mahatma Gandhi, Bharat Ratna awardees, Swachh Bharat initiative, Madhya Pradesh tourism, Indian Railways, and many others.
Various cultural programs and competitions will also be organized during the stamp exhibition, with participation from students of different schools. Winners of these competitions will be awarded during the closing ceremony of MAPEX 2025.
