CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: CNN Central News and Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News / Agencies, Bhopal: Ambience Mall in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, has unveiled a special artistic installation, ‘A Lotus in Full Bloom’, on the occasion of Diwali. The striking artwork, around 18 feet high, has been created keeping festive decoration and Indian cultural symbols in mind. Based on the shape of a lotus flower, the installation is becoming a special attraction for visitors to the mall.
The lotus is regarded in Indian culture as a symbol of purity, prosperity, beauty and new beginnings. Presenting it on the occasion of Diwali is aimed at giving an artistic form to the festival’s positive message and spirit of celebration. The installation’s grand structure and decorative design introduce viewers to a modern artistic expression of a traditional symbol.
According to the mall management, the initiative is an effort to give visitors a special experience along with shopping and entertainment during Diwali. During festivals, shopping malls are no longer only centres for shopping; through cultural activities, decoration and public art displays, they are also becoming spaces that attract people.
The ‘A Lotus in Full Bloom’ installation is part of this approach. Its 18-foot-high structure not only makes the festive Diwali atmosphere more special but also gives visitors an opportunity to take photographs and experience the artistic presentation.
