CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: The state government has taken several important decisions aimed at providing relief to the general public, government employees and farmers. Under these decisions, the concession in electricity bills for eligible consumers up to 200 units will continue until March 2027. Emphasis has also been placed on providing cashless treatment facilities to government employees and speeding up preparations for paddy procurement from farmers.
The extension of the electricity bill concession period will provide financial relief to eligible domestic consumers. Amid rising inflation, a reduction in electricity expenses will help middle- and lower-income families manage their monthly budgets. However, the benefit of this scheme will be available according to the relevant eligibility conditions and rules set by the government.
The cashless treatment facility for government employees is also being seen as an important step. Through this, eligible employees will be able to access treatment facilities in designated hospitals and under prescribed rules. This is expected to reduce the pressure of arranging immediate funds during treatment.
In addition, preparations have been made to start paddy procurement from farmers from November 15. For this, 360 new procurement centres will be opened. The opening of new centres will make it easier for farmers to sell their produce and may reduce problems such as crowding at procurement centres and the need to travel long distances.
To ensure smooth paddy procurement arrangements, it will be important to provide necessary facilities and management at the centres. The objective of these government decisions is to provide relief to consumers, ensure health security for employees and make the procurement of farmers’ produce more convenient.
