CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: NASA has released a warning on the asteroid speeding towards Earth at the speed of 73,055 KMPH. This asteroid named NF 2024 will be approaching today July 17 at around 04:58 PM IST(11:28 UTC).
This is the largest upcoming asteroid that is around the size of an aeroplane and is 220 feet big rock. According to NASA, the asteroid will make proximity close to Earth, around 3.0 million miles away and is classified as a Near Earth Object (NEO).
The asteroid is not reported to be a potentially hazardous asteroid even if the size is large but the proximity is not that close to be considered a dangerous asteroid.
The asteroid has close proximity of within 4.6 million miles of Earth and possesses a size bigger than 150 meters. But the safety of this asteroid can’t be ensured, so NASA is observing the moment of this asteroid.
