CNN Central News and Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The 27th Maha Aarti of the Agrawal community’s revered Maharaja Agrasen and clan deity Mata Mahalakshmi was held with श्रद्धा and devotion on Sunday evening at Agrasen Vatika, ITC Park, opposite Kamla Park, Bhopal. A large number of members of the Agrawal community attended the Maha Aarti with their families and offered formal prayers and worship to Maharaja Agrasen and Mata Mahalakshmi, praying for the happiness and prosperity of the community, the state and the nation.

On this occasion, the ritual hosting of the Maha Aarti was undertaken by Kolar Agrawal Samaj. After the recently concluded elections, the newly elected executive committee of Kolar Agrawal Samaj had decided that the hosting of the Maha Aarti would be done by the community. On the occasion, a large number of members from the Kolar area were present, including Shailendra Garg, Saurabh Gupta, Vasant Gupta, Tarun Agrawal, Ankur Agrawal, Shailesh Agrawal, Sachin Agrawal, Ravindra Bansal and Suresh Chandra Goyal.

Mukesh Goyal said the objective of the Maha Aarti is to unite the community and take Maharaja Agrasen’s ideal principle of “one brick, one rupee” to the masses. He said this Maha Aarti, which began in Chaitra Navratri 2024, has now become an important religious and social tradition of the community. This monthly event is strengthening the spirit of unity, cooperation and brotherhood among community members.

Committee member Nitin Kumar Gupta said the Maha Aarti has been receiving a consistently positive response from community members and the number of devotees is increasing every month. He said that, with the aim of connecting more people to the Maha Aarti, live telecast of the programme will soon be started so that members of the community living in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and across India and abroad can also join the religious event directly.

Rohit Gupta said work is being done to organise the upcoming Maha Aartis in an even grander and better-managed manner. Rashmi Agrawal, Asha Gupta, Rama Agrawal, Dheeraj Gupta, Nisha Gupta, Mohit Agrawal, Pramet Agrawal and Dheeraj Agrawal extended special cooperation in the organisation of the Maha Aarti. All of them played an active role in making the event successful.

Prasad was distributed after the Maha Aarti. The organising committee expressed gratitude to Kolar Agrawal Samaj, all community members and supporters for making the Maha Aarti a success.
