CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: 3,500 employees may have to travel in condemned buses for three more months.
The Finance Department has approved completion of the process, but despite this, around 3,500 employees may have to travel in condemned buses for the next three months. Because of the existing condition of the buses and the time likely to be taken to implement the new arrangement, there appears to be little immediate hope of relief for the employees.
According to information, approval from the Finance Department is being considered an important step towards taking the related process forward. However, even after the approval, it may take time to complete further formalities and implement the arrangement. For this reason, employees may have to depend on the old buses for some more time.
Travelling in condemned buses is a matter of inconvenience for employees and also a concern from the point of view of safety. Problems such as technical faults and lack of facilities may arise in old buses. In such a situation, there is a need to provide employees with safe and better transport facilities.
Attention is now focused on how quickly the department concerned completes the next stage of the process after the Finance Department’s approval. If the arrangement is not implemented within the stipulated time, employees may have to travel under the existing conditions for three months.
