Bhopal organisation honours 341 temple committees at second annual ceremony

CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Suraj Janutthan Samajik Sangathan (SAJAS), Bhopal, organised a felicitation ceremony for temple committees. The initiative to honour temple committees, started with the inspiration and guidance of MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, was held for the second consecutive year.

At the ceremony, 341 temple committees from the South West Assembly constituency were honoured. The programme was held at Samanvay Bhavan (Subhash Yadav), Apex Bank, Malviya Nagar, New Market, Bhopal. It began with the lighting of the lamp and worship of Lord Ganesh. The ceremony received the sacred presence and blessings of Most Revered Ramkishore Dwaracharya, Nirgun Darbar Acharyabada Peethadheeshwar Maharaj, Most Revered Gurudev Sudesh Shandilya Maharaj, and Most Revered Pt. Vishnu Rajoria, chairman, Parshuram Kalyan Board, Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Bhopal MP Alok Sharma, MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, Hindu Utsav Samiti president Chandra Shekhar Tiwari, state working committee member Krishna Ghadge, along with public representatives, office-bearers of temple committees, priests and a large number of devotees were present at the programme.

The atmosphere turned devotional with a bhajan presentation at the ceremony. After this, office-bearers and priests of 341 temple committees were honoured with shawls, copies of the Ramcharitmanas and certificates of appreciation. Fruits and fasting food were also arranged as prasad for the guests and devotees present at the programme.

The objective of the event was to express respect for the contribution being made by temple committees in the protection and promotion of religion, values, social harmony and Sanatan culture, and to bring various temple committees onto one platform. Speakers said temples are not only places of worship, but centres of faith, values, culture, service and social harmony.
