CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A new wave of technological innovation is set to begin at the Department of Architecture and Planning at MANIT Bhopal with the inauguration of a five-day workshop titled “Applications of 3D Scanners in Architecture,” scheduled to run until September 6, 2024. This workshop is coordinated by Jagdish Singh, who aims to add a new dimension to the field of architecture and planning through real-time data capturing using LiDAR technology.

Dr. Singh mentioned that this workshop will bring about a new transformation in the industry and provide participants with the opportunity to experience the transformative power of 3D scanning. The event brings together professors, students, researchers, designers, engineers, and enthusiasts from across the country.

Under the guidance of Dr. Jagdish Singh, Supriya Vyas, and Neha Pranav Kolhe from the Department of Architecture, the workshop is designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of 3D scanning techniques, applications, and best practices. Attendees will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge 3D scanning equipment under the guidance of leading experts. The sessions will cover topics ranging from basic principles to complex applications in design, construction, and cultural preservation.
