On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Madhya Pradesh organized the 7th Women Excellence Award 2025 at Rabindranath Tagore University. Under this year’s theme, “ACCELERATE ACTION,” women who have made significant contributions in various fields of society were honored.
Honorable Guests
The chief guest for the event was Mrs. Tripti Tripathi, Member Secretary, Madhya Pradesh State Women’s Commission. She was accompanied by Pro-Vice Chancellor Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Vice Chancellor Ravi Prakash Dubey, Registrar Dr. Sangeeta Johri, and other distinguished guests.
Awards Ceremony and Discussion
Women excelling in education, sports, administration, arts, and social service were recognized for their contributions.

Chanda Chauhan – District Panchayat Member, Obedullaganj
Ms. Kanishka Sharma – International Deaf Taekwondo Player
Urmila Asware – Government School Teacher
Additionally, the university honored female academicians and administrators for their remarkable contributions in their respective fields.
Speeches on Women’s Empowerment
Pro-Chancellor Aditi Chaturvedi Vats emphasized,
“Women deserve equal opportunities and respect. This event serves as a platform to recognize and inspire women’s contributions in society.”
Chief Guest Tripathi remarked,
“Women empowerment is not just an initiative; it is a necessity for societal progress.”
Director Sanjeev Gupta (Pro-Vice Chancellor) reaffirmed the university’s commitment to promoting women’s education and prosperity.
Health and Cultural Activities
The event concluded with a “Fit Vimaniya” session led by Pooja Mehta, Director of Karma Wellness Studio, focusing on women’s mental and physical health.
Cultural performances, including poetry recitals, dance, and musical presentations, added vibrancy to the occasion.
Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by Naish Zamir, Chairperson of the Women’s Development Committee (WDC) at the university.
