CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The 84th Congress Convention, organized by the All India Congress Committee, concluded successfully on Sunday at the historic Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This two-day prestigious event witnessed the presence of key Congress leaders including Party President Mallikarjun Kharge, former President Sonia Gandhi, and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.
Sanjay Kamle, General Secretary (Organization) of Madhya Pradesh Congress, informed that 93 delegates from Madhya Pradesh participated in the convention. Among them were State President Jitu Patwari, former Chief Ministers Kamal Nath and Digvijaya Singh, along with other senior leaders.
Several important resolutions aimed at strengthening the organization were unanimously passed during the session. One key resolution was focused on empowering district presidents and decentralizing the organizational structure to the district level.
In his address, Rahul Gandhi emphasized the need for a caste-based census and launched a strong critique against the BJP and RSS. He called upon Congress workers to fight for the protection of the Constitution. Meanwhile, Kharge demanded strict action regarding irregularities in the voter list in Maharashtra.
Senior leaders from across the country, including from Madhya Pradesh, participated in the convention, which concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthening the Congress organization.
