This initiative was conducted under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director, Ajay Singh. Professor Singh is a strong advocate for extending healthcare services to underserved rural populations. The camp included yoga consultation sessions, AYUSH consultations, and free distribution of medicines to patients. Additionally, the villagers were made aware of overall health and wellness.
The camp saw participation from young people, women, and senior citizens, many of whom suffered from diseases like diabetes, arthritis, anxiety, and high blood pressure. The AYUSH department doctors provided advice on prevention and treatment, emphasizing that regular yoga practice can significantly alleviate these conditions. They also stressed the importance of a balanced diet.
Professor Ajay Singh praised the efforts of the AYUSH department for organizing this health camp. He highlighted the importance of such outreach activities in improving access to healthcare services and outcomes for rural populations. He stated that their commitment to reaching remote rural communities is unwavering. Through these efforts, the goal is to provide essential medical care and health education, empowering rural communities to lead healthy lives.
