CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that in Indian culture, the belief “Aarogyam Paramam Bhagyam” (health is the greatest fortune) has always been held. A healthy body is considered the highest happiness, and unique sciences like Yoga and Ayurveda are part of this heritage. By following the principles of Ayurveda, the blessings of a long and healthy life can be realized.

He was addressing the state-level program of the 10th National Ayurveda Day held at Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium. The program commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting. Chief Minister Yadav was welcomed with medicinal plants and a ceremonial shawl. On this occasion, an MoU was signed between the AYUSH and Tourism Departments to promote wellness. Under the AYUSH public health program, the Chief Minister also launched the “Karunya” Cancer Treatment Scheme, a helpline for medicinal plants, and the monthly magazine Madhya Herbal Darpan.

The Chief Minister stated that during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure, the global acceptance of Yoga and Ayurveda has increased significantly. Today, more than 150 countries are embracing Ayurveda. He announced that postgraduate courses will be introduced in all AYUSH colleges in the state, and practitioners will receive salaries equivalent to those in the Health Department. Additionally, 12 new AYUSH hospitals will be established in the state. He urged medical practitioners to encourage patients to adopt a healthy lifestyle through Yoga, meditation, and a balanced daily routine.
