A homecoming session for alumni was organized at NIFT Bhopal.

CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: NIFT Bhopal hosted a homecoming event for its distinguished alumnus, Abhijit Banik, Founder, Brand Consultant, and Creative Director. A successful entrepreneur and a well-known name in the industry, Banik shared his valuable industry experience and entrepreneurial journey with the current students and faculty during the event.

Banik, who graduated from NIFT’s Textile Department (2008-2012), shared his inspiring story of building a successful business from scratch, highlighting the challenges he faced, the risks he took, and the lessons he learned along the way. During the program, Banik emphasized the importance of innovation, risk-taking, and adaptability in the industry. He also shared his insights on the latest trends and technologies shaping the industry and offered valuable advice to aspiring entrepreneurs. While interacting with NIFT students, he also provided solutions to their personal challenges.

“I am Suhani, a student from the Fashion Communication Department at NIFT Bhopal. I feel immense pride that our college, NIFT, gives us the opportunity to interact with our alumni who have been working in the industry for years and gain a deeper understanding of the industry. Today’s guest, Mr. Abhijit Banik, gave us advice about the future and encouraged us like an elder brother.”

The homecoming program is an initiative by NIFT that provides students the opportunity to meet experienced industry professionals and gain further insights into the industry. NIFT hopes to continue its strong relationship with its alumni and host more such events in the future.
