CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Rakesh Shukla, said that the Madhya Pradesh government is leaving no stone unturned in contributing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of making India a developed nation by 2047. He stated that the budget for the year 2024-25 would be a milestone for both a developed Madhya Pradesh and a developed India.
During a discussion with journalists in Bhind, Rakesh Shukla emphasized that the development vision behind the 2024-25 budget is driven by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s farsighted thinking. The minister mentioned that over the next five years, the Chief Minister aims to double the size of the state’s annual budget, starting with the 2024-25 budget.
He noted that the 2024-25 budget has seen an increase of over 16% without imposing any new taxes on the state’s population. Rakesh Shukla highlighted that due to effective financial management and the expansion of economic activities, there has been a continuous increase in per capita income in the state. According to a report released in 2024, 23 million people in Madhya Pradesh have risen above the poverty line.
