CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: As part of National Nutrition Month, AIIMS’s SMART Unit in the Pediatrics Department, in collaboration with the Regional Centre of Excellence in Nutrition Rehabilitation and Resource Training (RCOENRRT) and the National Health Mission (NHM) Madhya Pradesh, organized a special online quiz for Feeding Demonstrators working in the state’s Nutrition Rehabilitation Centers (NRCs). The objective was to raise awareness about the correct methods for treating Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM).

Executive Professor Ajay Singh of AIIMS emphasized the importance of nutrition in a child’s overall development and praised the efforts of the Feeding Demonstrators who play a crucial role in rehabilitating malnourished children. He stated, “Proper nutrition is the foundation of a child’s growth and development. At AIIMS, we are committed to advancing nutrition rehabilitation efforts in Madhya Pradesh and ensuring that our healthcare workers and Feeding Demonstrators are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively tackle malnutrition. The active participation of Feeding Demonstrators in this quiz reflects their dedication to improving the well-being of our most vulnerable children. I congratulate the winners and all participants for their enthusiasm and commitment.”

The quiz included multiple-choice questions, where each participant was given 90 seconds to answer each question, with a total of 30 minutes to complete the quiz. A total of 227 Feeding Demonstrators from across the state actively participated in the quiz. The top three winners were selected based on their speed and accuracy, all scoring 18 out of 20. The first place was secured by Mrs. Alka Bhatt from District Hospital NRC, Indore; the second place by Kamlesh Dhakad from SMTU, Gwalior; and the third place by Shabnam Bano from District Hospital NRC, Khargone.
