CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A seminar on entrepreneurship was organized at Radharaman College under the Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan (Self-Reliant India Campaign) with the aim of making India an economic superpower and self-reliant. The seminar was attended by engineering students and faculty members of the Radharaman Group.

The chief guest and speaker of the seminar was Jitendra Gupta, the All India Co-Coordinator of the Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan, who is also a former National President of Laghu Udyog Bharati and a successful entrepreneur. The special guests included Seema Bhardwaj, the Regional Co-Women’s Head of Swadeshi Jagran Manch, and Shantanu Sharma, the Metropolitan Coordinator of Swadeshi Jagran Manch Bhopal.

The event began with a Saraswati Vandana and lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a welcome speech from Dr. P.K. Lahiri, Senior Director of the Radharaman Group.

In his address, Jitendra Gupta emphasized that entrepreneurship is the key to making India an economic superpower and self-reliant. He highlighted opportunities in the manufacturing sector and urged students to aim to become “job providers” rather than “job seekers.” He provided examples of successful entrepreneurs who are bringing the concept of “Vocal for Local” to life, earning millions, and providing employment to many others.

Following this, Seema Bhardwaj shared her experiences. She has been active in social service for the past 28 years, organizing free workshops in 14 states from Jammu to Kanyakumari to empower and make thousands of women self-reliant. She also offers suggestions to women and students on living a chemical-free life and promotes environmental conservation by preparing and planting over 300 plants each year through students. Mrs. Bhardwaj is encouraging students to become job providers under the Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan and has also contributed to the field of education.

Shantanu Sharma mentioned that the government and several organizations are currently providing financial assistance to youth for self-employment. In conclusion, Suryadev Singh, Head of Administration, HR, and Brand Promotion at the Radharaman Group, expressed gratitude and led the students and faculty members in taking a pledge to purchase Swadeshi products.

Radharaman Group’s Chairman, Radharaman Saxena, extended his best wishes and agreed to establish a Swavalambi Bharat center on the campus.
