CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal, has commenced a seven-day Students Induction Program (SIP) for the new batch of students for the academic year 2024-25, starting on August 16, 2024. During the inaugural session, the students were welcomed by Acting Director and Dean (Faculty) Prof. Nataraj Kranti, Dr. Piyush Hajela, SIP Coordinator, who presented a detailed agenda of the day-to-day programs, Dr. Sandeep Sankat, Head of the Department of Architecture, and Dr. Shuli Mitra, Head of the Planning Department, who provided information about various departmental activities. Additionally, Dr. Rachna Khare, Dean (Students), and Dr. Anand Vadvekar informed the students about the institution’s facilities and regulations.

The objective of this SIP is to create an environment that facilitates a smooth transition for these newly admitted students from school education to the higher education environment, making them aware of basic human values, the institution’s functioning, and other activities.

During these seven days, students will be introduced to various modules such as aspirations, self-management, health, relationships, society, etc., through different sessions addressed by a team of experts from within and outside the institute. Additionally, this new batch of students will participate in physical activities such as yoga, aerobics, sports, reality, creative workshops, practice, painting, and literary activities. The students will also be taken on a tour of Bhopal, where they will get acquainted with the city’s natural and important places, including the Manav Sangrahalaya, architectural and historical buildings.
