CNN Central News and Network – ITDC India ePress / ITDC News Bhopal: Under the World Environment Day campaign, the West Central Railway, Bhopal Division conducted a special cleanliness and public awareness drive at various stations. During the campaign, passengers, railway employees, and sanitation workers were made aware about environmental protection, cleanliness, and maintaining a green environment.
At Bhopal Station, passengers and staff were also sensitized with the objective of keeping the environment safe and clean. A special cleanliness drive was carried out at various identified locations within the station premises to ensure extensive sanitation.
At Itarsi Station, a special cleanliness campaign was conducted with a focus on environmental conservation, while also creating awareness among all sanitation workers. During the drive, special cleaning was carried out in the station’s circulating area, tracks, bridges, toilets, and water booths. Sub-station superintendents, supervisors, and mechanical cleaning contract workers participated in the campaign.
Similarly, at Bina Station, the Commercial Department, Medical Department, and Mechanical Department jointly interacted with sanitation workers and motivated them to maintain better cleanliness and a hygienic environment.
The Bhopal Division continues to run regular awareness campaigns on environmental protection and cleanliness, aiming to make railway premises clean, safe, and eco-friendly.
