CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Department of Language Studies at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication organized a special lecture on the subject of “National Education Policy and Language”. The special lecture, held in the auditorium of Nalanda Library, was chaired by the University’s Chancellor, Mr. K.G. Suresh. Mr. Ashok Kadel, the Director of the Madhya Pradesh Hindi Granth Academy, expressed his views as the main speaker.

During this event, the unveiling of the poster for the employment examination program of the Department of Indian Languages, Technology, and Translation (Honors/Research) and the inauguration of the “Dharmaganj Sabha Gruh” within the Nalanda Library were carried out by Professor Suresh and Ashok Kadel.

In his presidential address, Chancellor Suresh praised the Hindi language, technology, and translation program, stating that it is based on the National Education Policy and is an excellent subject from a career perspective. He described the National Education Policy as a revolutionary policy and highlighted the role of universities in its implementation. He also mentioned the establishment of a language laboratory at the university.

Professor Suresh emphasized the influence of the mother tongue on student life and praised Makhanlal Chaturvedi University for being at the forefront of adopting the National Education Policy from its inception and successfully implementing it. He stressed the important role of teachers in the development of the nation and society and highlighted the university’s efforts in this regard.

Mr. Ashok spoke about expressing emotions through language, stating that language awakens consciousness in life. He described language as a supporter of culture and emphasized its role in generating a sense of ownership. He also emphasized the importance of acquiring the mother tongue within the family and its connection to emotional expression.

Rakhi Tiwari, Head of the Department of Indian Languages, expressed gratitude. The lecture was attended by the University’s Secretary, Avinash Vajpayee, Language Officer Ramdeen Tyagi, heads of various departments, teachers, officials, staff, and students.
