CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray has strongly responded to renewed allegations linking him to the tragic death of Disha Salian, the former celebrity manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Thackeray dismissed the accusations as “baseless attempts to malign his image” and accused political opponents of exploiting a sensitive matter for personal and electoral gains.

Disha Salian died under mysterious circumstances in June 2020, days before Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Her demise has been the subject of numerous conspiracy theories, despite multiple investigations declaring it accidental. However, the issue has resurfaced recently, with certain leaders once again dragging Aaditya Thackeray’s name into the narrative.

In a press conference, Thackeray emphasized his full faith in the judiciary and investigation agencies. He reiterated that he had no connection to Salian or the events surrounding her death. “This is nothing but character assassination. These are tactics being used in desperation,” he said.

Legal experts and political analysts believe the revival of these allegations could be part of a broader strategy ahead of state or national elections. Thackeray’s supporters have condemned the move, stating that dragging unrelated individuals into criminal matters without evidence sets a dangerous precedent.

The Mumbai Police and CBI have not found any direct link between Thackeray and the case in their official findings.

As the political heat rises, the case once again highlights how high-profile deaths can become entangled in power struggles and public perception battles.
