CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At VIT University in Sehore, a female student allegedly recorded and circulated videos of other female students bathing in the hostel bathroom. When the victims approached the university management to report the incident, the management not only dismissed their concerns but also suspended 74 students, 12 of whom were permanently expelled, while others were suspended for durations ranging from six months to a year.

ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) activists staged a peaceful protest against the authoritarian behavior of the VIT Sehore administration, demanding the reinstatement of the suspended students and addressing other grievances. However, during the protest, the VIT administration reportedly armed their guards with sticks to attack the ABVP workers and other students, an act described as both unfortunate and disgraceful.

ABVP State Minister Sandeep Vaishnav condemned the university management, stating that it not only took the law into its own hands but also displayed a disruptive and oppressive attitude. He further criticized the guards’ lathi charge on peacefully protesting ABVP workers, labeling it as extremely shameful.

ABVP emphasized that such behavior is unacceptable in any educational institution in Madhya Pradesh and demanded strict action against the unruly VIT Sehore management. They called on the government to take cognizance of the matter and ensure stringent action against those responsible.
