CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Struggle and Patience Are Key to Success and Earnings on YouTube
Achieving success and earnings on YouTube requires significant struggle and perseverance. Young individuals aspiring to become content creators must remain patient and consistently focus on producing quality content. Often, seeing the glamorous lifestyle of some YouTubers, aspiring creators assume it to be an easy career, but it is far from simple.
This was stated by senior business journalist, YouTuber, and founder of ‘Be Wealthy’, Swati Kumari, during an academic dialogue held at Sapre Museum to mark the second death anniversary of media guru, Late Pushpendra Pal Singh. The event was organized by his students as a tribute.
Tips for Aspiring YouTubers by Swati Kumari
Speaking on journalism in the age of social media, Swati Kumari shared some essential tips with students on starting a YouTube channel.
She remarked:
“When we put in hard work to create videos, we expect good views, but sometimes that doesn’t happen. On the other hand, videos offering stock tips often get instant views. Creators working on serious topics have to struggle longer to gain an audience.”
She advised that rather than chasing algorithms, it is important to stick to your values. She emphasized:
“Focusing on quality content might take time, but success will follow. True job satisfaction comes when you do good work and persist. That is real progress.”
“Pushpendra Was Not Just a Classroom Teacher but a Mentor in the Field” – Vijaydutt Shridhar
Padma Shri Vijaydutt Shridhar, founder of Sapre Museum, shared his thoughts, saying:
“Pushpendra Pal Singh’s teaching style was different from traditional classrooms. He didn’t just teach students; he immersed them in the media industry through workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions. He always believed that merely taking notes was not enough; asking questions was just as important.”
Becoming emotional, he added:
“Pushpendra Ji shared a deep bond with his students. He was an expert at building and maintaining relationships. For him, every student was like family.”
“Pushpendra Sir Was Like a Father to Us” – Anurag Dwary
Anurag Dwary, Resident Editor, NDTV Madhya Pradesh, spoke on the topic “The Future of Newsrooms: AI, Automation, and Journalism.”
He expressed:
“Pushpendra Sir felt our struggles as much as we did. He was more than just a teacher; he was like a father to us.”
Discussing AI in journalism, Anurag stated:
“Intelligence is original; there is no need to fear technological changes. If AI is embraced as a friend, it can make our work easier.”
Adding humor, he remarked:
“Think of AI as an intern on your team, ready to work 24×7. But remember, AI cannot fully replace creativity.”
“Other Newsroom Roles Are Equally Challenging” – Devendra Sahu
Devendra Sahu, Head of Cricket Programming, Star Sports, emphasized:
“Becoming a reporter or anchor is challenging, but playing other roles in the newsroom is equally tough. To grow, self-study is essential, and attending such seminars and discussions helps broaden knowledge.”
He advised:
“Every journalist should identify their area of interest. A doctor who prescribes medicines for all illnesses is called a quack. Similarly, journalists should specialize in fields like sports, science, or business to establish credibility.”
He added:
“While anchors are visible on screen, many unseen heroes work behind the scenes—scriptwriters, researchers, producers, and the technical team. Their efforts make a news program successful and deliver stories to the audience.”
