“Acceleration in Track Renewal and Maintenance Works Under the Guidance of Shobhana Bandyopadhyay by West Central Railway”

CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In addition to multi-tracking and infrastructure works, West Central Railway also undertakes other renewal activities on the tracks as part of maintenance work. Under the guidance of General Manager Shobhana Bandyopadhyay and through coordinated efforts by the officers and staff of the Engineering Department, all track maintenance renewal works are being executed swiftly. These track renewal works include Complete Track Renewal (CTR), Through Rail Renewal (TRR), Through Sleeper Renewal (TSR), Through Turnout Renewal (TTR), deep screening, and more.

It is noteworthy that all these track renewal activities are safety-related and are executed by taking traffic blocks. West Central Railway has executed these safety-related works with speed, resulting in the renewal of 132.11 track kilometers of rail, 98.70 track kilometers of sleepers, 186 units of turnout renewals, along with 166 units of turnout and 229.55 track kilometers of deep screening in the first four months of the financial year. In the month of July alone, 24.65 track kilometers of rail renewal, 25.47 track kilometers of sleeper renewal, 33 units of turnout renewal, along with 37 units of turnout and 48.32 track kilometers of deep screening were executed.
