CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The second and final day of the 164th birth anniversary celebration of Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray, organized by Regional Science Centre, Bhopal, on the theme “Radiance of Chemistry: Explore, Experiment, Inspire”, concluded enthusiastically.
The objective of this two-day event was to increase awareness about chemistry among students and the general public, and to inspire the youth to pursue careers in science.
Highlights of the second day included:
🔹 Chemistry Workshop – “Science in Daily Life”:
In this workshop, students performed small and interesting experiments themselves, helping them understand how chemistry functions in our everyday lives.
🔹 Science Show – “Chemical Curiosity”:
This live show was presented again for students and general visitors, featuring colorful and impactful chemical experiments that captivated the audience and made science engaging and fun.
🔹 Documentary Screening:
A documentary on the life and work of Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray was screened, showcasing his scientific contributions and his efforts to promote indigenous chemical industries in India.
Approximately 500 students and visitors attended the event and participated actively in the programs. The event concluded with a resolve to carry forward Acharya Ray’s legacy, promote scientific thinking, and sustain the spirit of innovation in chemistry.
