During inspections, the administration has seized 14 quintals of paddy. At the same time, 20 check posts have been set up in the district to monitor illegal transportation and storage of paddy, with arrangements for round-the-clock surveillance.
The administration has strengthened the monitoring system with the aim of preventing any irregularities during paddy procurement. Teams posted at the check posts are keeping watch on vehicles moving in and out and on the transportation of paddy. Along with this, inspections are being carried out on the basis of complaints and information about illegal stocking of paddy. The purpose of this action by the administration is to keep the paddy procurement system transparent and to curb illegal storage and transportation. The monitoring drive is continuing along with the seizure of 14 quintals of paddy.
