CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: During the investigation of a complaint received on the CM Helpline, 90 kilograms of flour being sold after its “best before” date was seized from Vinod Kirana located in Tagore Ward, Gandhinagar, Bhopal. The complainant had reported the sale of substandard flour and requested action.

Upon inspection, nine 10-kilogram bags of flour were found to be sold after the expiration of their “best before” date. Food safety officers took samples of the flour and seized all nine bags. The sample will be sent to the State Food Testing Laboratory, Idgah Hills, Bhopal, and action will be taken under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, based on the analysis.

As per the instructions of the designated officer, Mr. Devendra Kumar Verma, the Food Safety Administration is diligently resolving complaints received through the CM Helpline and other channels.
