CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Actor Vijay unveiled his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam’s flag and symbol at an event held in Chennai on Thursday. The mega event saw his parents accompany him.
The red and yellow flag also features two elephants and a peacock surrounded by stars at the centre. The actor also read a pledge before unveiling the party flag in which he said he would uphold the principle of equality for all living beings.
During the event, Vijay said the party would hold the first state conference soon. “Preparations are on for it and very soon I will announce it,” he said adding that he “feels very proud” and would work together for the development of Tamil Nadu.
