The admission process has started at the Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication. The university’s chancellor, Mr. G. Suresh, stated that the preparation of merit lists based on the scores obtained in various departments of the university’s Vishnakhedi campus, as well as the Rewa, Khandwa, and Datia campuses of Makhanpuram, and online interviews will be conducted. He said that the university has been included in the CUCET-UG for the first time for undergraduate programs. Professor Suresh mentioned that the university’s fifty-acre lush residential campus, where students can apply for admission through MP Online. He said that those interested in media, mass communication, computer, cinema, etc., and those who have a desire to do something special and advance can apply online by May 31.

Director of Admissions Shalabh Srivastava stated that in the undergraduate program, 70% of the marks obtained in the 12th grade and 30% of the weightage of the interview will be given. Similarly, in the postgraduate program, 70% of the marks obtained in graduation and 30% of the weightage of the interview will be given. Eligible students can apply for the graduate examination in journalism, mass communication, advertising and public relations, broadcast journalism, digital journalism, electronic media, media research, film production, new media, media business management, MCJ, and MLIS. Likewise, in the undergraduate programs of BBM E-Commerce, BSc Graphics Animation, B.Tech Printing and Packaging, and B.LIS Library and Information Science, students who are eligible in the 12th examination can fill the form.

Chancellor Suresh mentioned that under the National Education Policy, undergraduate programs have been started at the university three years ago. These include BA MC, BAGSCDW, BAAPR, BA English Journalism, BSc Media Research, Electronic Media, Film and Communication Studies, Multimedia, BCom Management, and BCA Computer Application Honors. Students can also apply for these programs through MP Online. Chancellor Suresh mentioned that along with the Makhanpuram campus in Bhopal, the university’s own campus is also operational in three campuses in Rewa, Khandwa, and Datia. He said that in the Rewa campus, students can fill out application forms for MA Journalism, MA Mass Communication, MSC Electronic Media, BA MC Honors, BSc EMM Honors, BCA Computer Application Honors, PGDJP Rural Journalism, and PGDCCA DCI courses.
