CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: ndira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has begun the admission process for the July 2025 session. Interested students can apply online through the Samarth Admission Portal by July 15, 2025.
This session offers admission to over 330 programs, including postgraduate, undergraduate, diploma, and six-month certificate courses.
Senior Regional Director Umesh Chandra Pandey informed that IGNOU is offering the following programs in this session:
78 Postgraduate programs
26 Four-year Undergraduate programs
22 General and Honours Bachelor’s programs
66 Postgraduate Diplomas
14 PG Certificate courses
28 Diplomas
76 Certificate programs
These courses provide young learners with excellent opportunities to pursue careers in diverse and interesting fields.
Under IGNOU’s course-wise registration and certification system, students can take courses worth up to 16 credits. Programs are also available in unique subjects such as Spoken Sanskrit, Vedic Mathematics, Yoga, Painting, and Music.
Additionally, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, students will be allowed to transfer up to 10% of earned credits.
Dr. Anshuman Upadhyay, Additional Director, stated that students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) will receive free admission to programs such as BA, BCom, and BSc, under the financial assistance scheme, provided their parents’ annual income is less than ₹2.5 lakh.
