CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Minister in Charge Chaitanya Kashyap stated that the unique coordination between agriculture and industry in Madhya Pradesh is bringing a new revolution to the state’s economic landscape.

Speaking at the conference on “Sustainable Development of Sugarcane Crops and Sugar Factories in Madhya Pradesh,” held at Courtyard by Marriott, Director Kashyap said that agriculture is the soul of India, and through the MSME Department, the establishment of sugar factories is providing farmers with better marketing, technical assistance, and financial facilities. This is accelerating rural economic development.

The conference saw the participation of a large number of MSME and Agriculture Department officials, industrialists, and farmer representatives. Minister Kashyap noted that the recent agricultural fair in Mandsaur, organized under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, was the first initiative to integrate industries into an agriculture-centric event—marking a new vision for Madhya Pradesh.

He shared that the irrigated area in the state has increased from 5 lakh hectares to between 55 to 60 lakh hectares, significantly boosting agriculture’s contribution to the state’s GDP.

Kashyap emphasized that the state government is committed to maximizing farmer benefits and increasing GDP growth through higher productivity. To encourage investment in sugar mills, special concessions are being offered in land, electricity, and loan schemes. This will strengthen the agricultural sector, reduce unemployment, and open new dimensions of economic prosperity.

In conclusion, Minister Kashyap stated that the synergy between agriculture and industry is a positive and visionary step toward building a self-reliant Madhya Pradesh, benefiting both farmers and the industrial sector.
