He believes that individuals should maintain their lifestyles in such a systematic and balanced way that diseases don’t even come close. By incorporating yoga into daily routines, one can lead a healthy life.

Under the efforts of Professor Ajay Singh, the AYUSH Department at AIIMS conducts yoga sessions daily at 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM, where children, young adults, the elderly, and women all participate. These yoga sessions have significantly benefited people suffering from conditions such as stress, high blood pressure, diabetes, insomnia, and obesity.

One participant, Megh Mishra, lost 11 kilograms in just 15 days. Struggling with 105 kilograms of weight, throat pain, and acid reflux issues, Megh has now reduced to 94 kilograms after receiving treatment in the Ayurveda Department and regularly practicing yoga. Another beneficiary, Saurabh Chaurasia, lost 16 kilograms in just one month. Saurabh, who was battling anxiety, insomnia, and restlessness, saw his weight increase continuously. When he came to the AYUSH Department for treatment, he weighed 104 kilograms, but by joining the yoga sessions and controlling his diet, he reduced his weight to 88 kilograms.

Yoga instructor Chanchal Suryavanshi mentioned that these yoga sessions are conducted free of charge. Yoga provides relief from various ailments and keeps a person active.

At AIIMS, Dr. Ajay Singh is encouraging people to seek treatment through various medical practices offered at the Integrated Health Clinic in the AYUSH Department.
