CNN Central News and Network–ITDC India ePress / ITDC News Bhopal: The Department of Pathology at AIIMS Bhopal has recently brought glory to the institute with its outstanding achievements at the National Cytology Conference held at AIIMS Jodhpur.
Postgraduate students and faculty members from the department actively participated in various events and showcased their academic excellence. The research work presented by the students was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Vaishali Walke, Dr. Hemlata Panwar, and Dr. Jaykumar Chaurasia, faculty members in the Pathology Department. Junior resident Suramya Jain secured the first position in the poster competition, while Siddharth Garg won the second position.
Prof. Ajay Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, congratulated the students and faculty on their accomplishments. He stated, “The achievements of our postgraduate students and faculty members at the National Cytology Conference reflect AIIMS Bhopal’s unwavering commitment to academic and research excellence. These achievements have highlighted the department’s research and academic prowess. Faculty members also made remarkable contributions at the conference. Ujjwal Khurana and Jaykumar Chaurasia delivered oral presentations, showcasing their research and expertise. They were also invited as judges for poster and preferred paper presentations, reflecting their esteemed position in the academic community.
With these accolades, AIIMS Bhopal has been selected as the 2025 National Cytotechnologist Examination Center. This recognition underscores the growing importance of the institution. Furthermore, the Pathology Department has received approval at the Governing Body meeting to host the prestigious 2027 National Cytology Conference, one of the most prominent events in the field.
