CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm today at AIIMS Bhopal. On this occasion, Chairman Sunil Malik and Executive Director Ajay Singh hoisted the tricolor flag on the AIIMS Bhopal campus. A large number of faculty members, doctors, officials, staff, and their family members were present. The main event was held at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Auditorium of AIIMS Bhopal.
On this occasion, Chairman Sunil Malik emphasized the need to ensure affordable and quality healthcare reaches the most marginalized sections of society.
Professor Singh paid tribute to the brave soldiers, owing to whom we enjoy the freedom we breathe today. He urged the attendees to remain fully committed and dedicated to the institute to elevate it to new heights. Prof. Singh praised the Cardiac Surgery Department for the recently successful heart transplant and announced plans to undertake lung and liver transplants in the coming days.
The event also featured a cultural program, where MBBS and nursing students, along with nursing staff and children, gave outstanding performances.
