CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director Prof. Ajay Singh, the Department of Anatomy successfully organized the Annual Dissection Competition for first-year MBBS students. In this competition, students were divided into groups and given specific parts of the human body to dissect scientifically. Dissection refers to the careful opening of the human body to study its internal organs, nerves, muscles, and structures. It is a vital process in medical education that allows students to directly understand the structure and functioning of the human body.

Three faculty members from other departments were invited to serve as judges for the competition, and based on their combined scores, the winning teams were selected.

The first prize was awarded to the team comprising Amina Arif, Devansh Chaurasia, Kanhaiya, Mrinimayi Yogesh, Priyansh Chittora, Salman Ahmed, Srijan Kumar, and Utkarsh Mahadev.

The second prize went to the team including Abhay Gupta, Anshika Singh, Gaurav Agrawal, Lav Shukla, Nayan Pandey, Ramesh Kumar, Svarnik Sharma, Swarup Muralidhar, and Vikas Prajapati.

The third prize was awarded to Agwal Shivam, Ayush Rai, Harsh Dhakad, Waqar Yunus, Patil Sarth, Rishi Kumar, Shivam Yadav, and Tanisha Singhal.

All participating students made commendable efforts. The department has also decided to display the best models prepared during the competition in the departmental museum so that other students can benefit from them academically.

On this occasion, Prof. Ajay Singh awarded the winning teams and addressed the students, stating,

“Such academic events not only provide in-depth subject knowledge but also significantly enhance students’ professional skills. This competition is an effective step toward quality in medical education. I extend heartfelt gratitude to all body donors whose invaluable contributions are helping our students gain practical knowledge.”
