CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of Executive Director Ajay Singh, the departments of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) and Cardiology at AIIMS Bhopal celebrated World Heart Day. On this occasion, Prof. Singh praised the efforts of the departments and stated, “Heart problems can occur at any age, which is why it is crucial to be aware of heart disease and its management. Such programs play a vital role in raising awareness and educating people about heart care. Simple steps like maintaining a balanced diet, regular exercise, avoiding harmful habits such as smoking and alcohol, and managing stress effectively can significantly reduce the risk of heart disease.”

During the program, the CTVS and Cardiology teams presented two theatrical performances highlighting the harmful effects of drugs, tobacco, alcohol, and other substances. These plays conveyed the symptoms of heart disease and promoted the adoption of better health care practices. Additionally, a poster competition was organized to raise awareness about heart health, where participants creatively emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy heart. The winners of the competition were also awarded.

On this occasion, Prof. Singh congratulated all participants and remarked, “Awareness about heart health should be a lifelong commitment. As a healthcare institution, it is our responsibility to continually spread this message and ensure that our society is prepared and aware of how to tackle heart diseases.”
