CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director, Ajay Singh, “Cleanliness Fortnight” is being organized until April 15, 2025. This is a flagship initiative of the Government of India aimed at realizing Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of a clean and healthy India. The objective of Cleanliness Fortnight is to encourage active participation in maintaining cleanliness within the hospital and its premises.

On this occasion, Prof. Singh administered the Cleanliness Oath, urging all faculty members, staff, and students to maintain a clean, green, and plastic-free campus. He emphasized the need to minimize the use of single-use plastic (SUP) and promote reusability to foster environmental responsibility.

As part of this campaign, Prof. Ajay Singh personally participated in a cleanliness drive and a tree plantation initiative. He stated, “Cleanliness is not just a responsibility; it is a habit that ensures a healthy and sustainable environment for all of us. Through Cleanliness Fortnight, we aim to spread awareness and promote community participation in cleanliness and health. Including vaccination for our security personnel and sanitation workers is a crucial step towards protecting these selfless warriors who tirelessly contribute to keeping AIIMS Bhopal clean and safe.”

Key contributors to this initiative included Deputy Director (Administration) Colonel Ajit Kumar, Dean (Academics) Rajneesh Joshi, Acting Medical Superintendent Prof. Shashank Purwar, Assistant Medical Superintendents Anjan Sahu, and Babita Raghuvanshi.
