CNN Central News & Network – ITDC India E-Press / ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of Executive Director Dr. Ajay Singh, the Department of Trauma and Emergency Medicine at AIIMS Bhopal organized a one-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on the occasion of World Emergency Medicine Day. The central theme of the program was “Proud to Provide Your Emergency Care,” which saw participation from medical experts and administrative officials from across the country.
The objective of the event was to highlight the importance of emergency medical services and to honor the contributions of personnel working in this field. Experts discussed key emergency scenarios including immediate care after animal bites, clarity between primary and emergency care, improving the work environment, and strategies for managing mental stress.
In the inaugural session, Executive Director Dr. Ajay Singh stated, “The emergency medical system is the backbone of any healthcare setup, and a skilled team along with continuous training is essential.” Head of the Trauma Department, Dr. Mohammad Yunus, mentioned that the event aimed to honor those professionals who save lives daily, often with limited resources.
Speakers included Prof. Manisha Srivastava, Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari, Ruchi Tandon, and Shehtaj Khan. The session was moderated by Rashmi Verma, and participants were honored at the conclusion of the program.
