CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director Ajay Singh, the institute’s annual cultural festival ‘Retina-7.0’ is being held from January 19, 2025. Prof. Singh formally inaugurated the festival, which is a celebration of creativity, sportsmanship, and culture, featuring a variety of programs, workshops, competitions, and spectacular performances.
On the first day, events like duet dance, rangoli, solo classical singing, quizzes, fashion shows, and a musical performance by the Adhiroh Band were organized. On this vibrant day, medical students, usually seen in white coats, adorned colorful costumes and diverse appearances. The highlight of the day was the ramp walk presented by AIIMS MBBS students, themed on Greek mythology. In this ramp walk, AIIMS MBBS students were declared winners, with NIFT Bhopal as the first runner-up.
The second day of the Retina festival features duet classical dance, rock painting, street plays, and stand-up comedy by Ashish Solanki. On Friday, activities like mehendi, face painting, arm wrestling, and an evening performance by renowned singer Shaan are lined up.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Singh said, “Retina-7.0 is not just a cultural festival but a symbol of creativity, teamwork, and the spirit of unity. This festival provides our students with a platform to showcase their talents and celebrate the cultural diversity that binds us together.”
