CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the academic leadership of Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, Prof. Ajay Singh, the institution is actively contributing not only to healthcare services but also to national and regional development dialogues. In continuation of this, Prof. Ajay Singh was invited as a distinguished panelist at the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Sustainability Summit 2025.

The theme of the summit was “Promoting Sustainable and Rural Tourism in Madhya Pradesh”, aimed at encouraging innovation, technological inclusion, and sustainability-based investments in the tourism sector.

Prof. Ajay Singh participated in Panel Discussion-II, titled “Tourism and Sustainability: Using Technology for Green Travel; Sustainable Investment”, where key topics such as green finance, green jobs, government initiatives, and innovation were discussed in detail.

On this occasion, Prof. Singh stated,

“Health, environment, and tourism are the three fundamental pillars of any sustainable society. Considering Madhya Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage and biodiversity, health services can be integrated with eco-tourism and wellness models, especially in rural areas.”

He also added that Yoga and Integrative Medicine (traditional and modern medical systems) provide a unique opportunity to establish India as a global hub for wellness, spiritual, and medical tourism. These systems, including Ayurveda and Yoga, not only enhance personal health but also align with global goals of sustainable development.

Adopting yoga in daily life, he noted, empowers individuals not only physically but also mentally and emotionally. The summit served as a robust platform for in-depth discussions on sustainable development, technology, rural empowerment, wellness, and inclusive tourism growth.
