He stressed the need to expand outreach activities to dispel misconceptions about epilepsy within the community. He also emphasized that as doctors, we should exhibit humility, generosity, politeness, and gentleness in our behavior.
Earlier, Department Head Dr. Priyanka V. Kashyap reported that the number of patients in the Neurology OPD has increased from 9,000 to 18,000 over the past two years, with over 10,000 patients receiving treatment in just the first six months of this year. On this occasion, a CME with the theme “Brain Health for All” was also held. During the CME, Dr. Agrata Sharma explained that brain stroke is a life-threatening condition occurring when there is inadequate blood flow to a part of the brain, usually due to a blocked artery or bleeding. Without a continuous blood supply, brain cells in the affected area begin to die from lack of oxygen. Dr. Anshul Singh, Dr. Neerendra Rai, and Dr. Archana Verma also discussed various aspects of brain health.
