CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the leadership of AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director Prof. Ajai Singh, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between AIIMS Bhopal and Eco India. Eco India is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to driving change in healthcare, education, and livelihoods through capacity-building and participatory learning models. Eco India is actively working in Madhya Pradesh as well, where it is engaged in the prevention and control of Beta Thalassemia and other hemoglobinopathies under a nationwide capacity-building program in collaboration with the National Health Mission (NHM). This program promotes effective prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of these blood disorders by providing expert medical education.

The MoU was signed on behalf of AIIMS Bhopal by the Dean (Research), and on behalf of Eco India by Director Sandeep Bhalla and Vice President (Projects). Under this collaboration, expert-led training sessions, knowledge exchange meetings, and virtual learning programs will be conducted to empower continuous professional development for faculty members, residents, and healthcare providers at the institution.

On this occasion, Prof. Ajai Singh highlighted the long-term significance of the agreement, stating, “This partnership with Eco India aligns with our mission not only to excel in patient care but also to foster academic growth and research. For a future-ready healthcare system, we need a robust platform for teaching, mentoring, and shared experiences. Through this collaboration, we are investing in our healthcare professionals—the backbone of our system—by equipping them with the knowledge and skills to meet the evolving demands of public health with confidence and compassion.”

Emphasizing the importance of this initiative, Director Research at AIIMS Bhopal, Dr. Rehan-ul-Haq, said, “At AIIMS Bhopal, we believe that institutions should not only be centers of clinical excellence but also hubs for continuous learning and knowledge exchange. This strategic partnership between AIIMS Bhopal, NHM Madhya Pradesh, and Eco India is a vital step toward advancing public health goals and empowering community well-being.”
