CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of Executive Director Ajay Singh, AIIMS Bhopal organized an awareness program on the occasion of World Environment Day. The program featured an extensive discussion on environmental conservation and the importance of tree plantation, centered around this year’s theme, “End Plastic Pollution.” The main objective of the program was to encourage people to reduce plastic use, adopt reuse and recycling practices, and plant as many trees as possible around them to ensure environmental protection. Tree plantation not only purifies the air but also plays a vital role in water conservation and biodiversity enhancement.

The program was attended by a large number of AIIMS Bhopal faculty members, resident doctors, nursing officers, staff, and students. On this occasion, Prof. Ajay Singh said, “Plastic pollution is a serious challenge to our environment that must be eliminated as our highest priority today. Uncontrolled use of plastic pollutes land and water sources and has a profound impact on our health. Through natural measures like tree plantation, we can revive the environment and ensure a healthy life. Therefore, we must collectively minimize plastic use and take concrete steps toward environmental protection.” This initiative is an important effort to raise public awareness about environmental conservation and to inspire sustainable and positive actions in daily life.
