CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director Ajay Singh, AIIMS Bhopal, in academic collaboration with Rekhi Foundation for Happiness, organized a two-day Faculty Development Program on the theme “The Science of Happiness: Practical Tools for Healthcare Professionals.” This program was conducted to mark World Happiness Day.

The objective of this program was to familiarize healthcare professionals with practical approaches to enhance happiness and mental well-being, enabling them not only to maintain balance in their personal and professional lives but also to contribute positively to patient care.

On this occasion, Prof. Singh stated,

“Happiness is a science that needs to be understood and practiced. Medical professionals often experience high stress due to the demanding nature of their work, long working hours, and rigorous curriculum. Promoting emotional well-being through positive psychology can foster resilience, optimism, and overall well-being. By fostering happiness, we ensure both personal and professional growth. AIIMS Bhopal’s Center of Happiness is established with the mission to support the well-being of patients, caregivers, students, staff, and faculty members.”

The program featured expert sessions led by A. Srihari Krishna and Ritu Sharma from the Rekhi Foundation for Happiness. It aimed to provide practical insights into the science of happiness, equipping participants with evidence-based tools and techniques for stress management, mental health improvement, and cultivating positive emotions.

Over the course of two days, participants engaged in interactive sessions, experiential activities, and group discussions, focusing on mindfulness, emotional resilience, and self-awareness. Attendees appreciated this initiative and recognized its value in promoting mental health and well-being within the healthcare community.
