CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The AYUSH department of AIIMS organized a health camp in Bangrasia village. This initiative was undertaken under the guidance of AIIMS Executive Director, Professor (Dr.) Ajay Singh, who is a strong advocate for extending healthcare services to underserved rural populations. Many patients benefited from the health camp. Dr. Sanjeevani Magarde and yoga instructor Chanchal Suryavanshi represented the AYUSH department.
The camp offered AYUSH consultations, yoga sessions, and free distribution of medicines to patients. Additionally, through awareness programs, various individuals were provided with comprehensive healthcare solutions. The patients included youths, adults, and senior citizens from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Many of the attendees were suffering from chronic conditions such as arthritis, anxiety, and hypertension. The feedback from patients was overwhelmingly positive.
Professor (Dr.) Ajay Singh praised the efforts of the AYUSH department in organizing this health camp. He emphasized the importance of such outreach activities in improving access to healthcare services and outcomes in rural areas, empowering rural communities to lead healthier lives. AIIMS is dedicated to expanding quality healthcare services to remote areas as part of its mission.
