CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, Dr. Ajay Singh, along with the team of doctors who performed the heart transplant, was honored by the Environmental Cultural Conservation and Human Welfare Trust. The trust’s chairman, Sushil Kumar Jain, and chief guest Yashwant S. Jain — a distinguished retired officer who has served in PNB (CO) and as an independent officer in the CBI — expressed their gratitude for this remarkable achievement by the AIIMS medical team.

Director Dr. Singh stated, “This is not just a matter of pride for AIIMS Bhopal, but for the entire central India. This achievement proves that our medical team is capable of performing even the most complex surgeries. From now on, heart transplant surgeries will be conducted regularly at AIIMS Bhopal, and needy patients will receive these services free of cost. We have also proposed to include this procedure under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, so more patients can benefit.”

Through this initiative by AIIMS Bhopal, poor and underprivileged patients in the state will gain access to advanced medical services. With the availability of heart transplant facilities, patients will no longer need to travel to other cities for better healthcare.
