CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director, Prof. Ajay Singh, National Hepatitis Testing Day was observed. This day marks a significant initiative aimed at increasing awareness about viral hepatitis and encouraging citizens to get tested in a timely manner.

On this occasion, various awareness programs were organized at the institute to provide information about dangerous viral infections such as Hepatitis B and C. These included public dialogues, health consultations, and free testing camps.

Often referred to as “silent infections,” conditions like hepatitis, if not detected early, can lead to serious complications such as liver cirrhosis and liver cancer.

Prof. Ajay Singh said on the occasion:

“Timely detection and treatment of hepatitis not only help in keeping individuals healthy but also serve as a way to break the chain of infection. AIIMS Bhopal is fully committed to public health awareness, prevention, and proper treatment. National Hepatitis Testing Day reminds us all to stay alert on this issue and to spread awareness among others.”

The institute also urged the public to take advantage of the available testing services and to obtain proper information to protect themselves from infection.
