CNN Central News and Network – ITDC India Express / ITDC News, Bhopal: Under the leadership of AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director, Prof. Ajay Singh, the Department of Radiation Oncology organized the MPCG Chapter AROICon 2024 conference. This state-level conference was held under the aegis of the Indian Radiation Oncology Association’s Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh Chapter. Representatives from both states participated, focusing on the theme: “Recent Advances in Radiation Oncology: From Conventional to Cutting-Edge.”
This prestigious event was designed to explore the latest developments in radiation oncology and foster meaningful collaborations. Postgraduate students, faculty members, and experts engaged in insightful discussions and presentations on emerging technologies and trends shaping cancer treatment.
Director Ajay Singh’s Address:
Prof. Ajay Singh highlighted the pivotal role of radiation oncology in cancer treatment, emphasizing the integration of traditional approaches with advanced technologies to improve patient care. He stated, “This conference is a significant step toward fostering collaboration, inspiring innovation, and shaping the future of oncology in India.”
As part of the event, Prof. Singh delivered the M.S. Dwivedi Memorial Oration 2024 on the topic, “Orthopedic Oncology in India: Current Status and Future Prospects,” underlining the importance of interdisciplinary approaches and innovation in oncology.
The two-day conference shed light on the critical role of networking and collaboration in advancing cancer treatment and research in India. The event saw the participation of several dignitaries, including Suruchi Manisha Sidha, Dean (Academics) and Acting Head of the Radiation Oncology Department, Dr. Rajneesh Joshi, and Deputy Director (Administration) Colonel Ajit Kumar.
