CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: AIIMS Bhopal Executive Director Ajay Singh consistently promotes a culture of academic excellence and knowledge-sharing among faculty members and students. Recently, Professor Rachna Parashar from the Department of Physiology at AIIMS Bhopal participated as an invited resource faculty member at the “Integrative Medicine Consortium and Leadership Development Conclave,” organized by the Center of Behavioral Science in Pune. The event’s primary goal was to strengthen public health through the development and implementation of protocols and methods in integrative medicine and to provide better healthcare solutions for managing non-communicable diseases.
The Integrative Medicine Practice Model of AIIMS Bhopal was presented at this conclave. These services are conducted under the guidance of Ajay Singh, and AIIMS Bhopal’s contributions in this field have been widely appreciated by national and international scholars and pioneers in integrative medicine.
On this occasion, Prof. Singh remarked, “Participation in such conferences provides us with the opportunity to adopt innovations, research, and best practices in the healthcare sector. AIIMS Bhopal is committed to advancing holistic and integrated health services through integrative medicine, and we continue to set new benchmarks in this direction.”
During the consortium, national and international speakers, including Adjunct Reinhard Boegl, Christine Noch, and S. N. Bhavsar, presented on topics such as neuroscience, biophysics of yoga, and their modern interpretations.
Professor Emeritus of Integrative Medicine at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) and Chairperson of the National Medical Commission, B. N. Gangadhar, highlighted the significance of integrative healthcare services and their far-reaching impact. Additionally, Sajid Chinoy, Chief Economist at JP Morgan, and Trustee Jahangir Tata shared insights into the economic and practical potential of integrative healthcare. They also discussed the role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the healthcare sector.
Furthermore, experts deliberated on environmental and climate change issues and their effects on health, emphasizing the need for sustainable and integrative approaches to healthcare.
